    Abstract

    ABSTRAK Rici Dovan Prasetya. D1813069. Pelayanan Di UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Islam Batik Surakarta. DIII Ilmu Perpustakaan, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik, Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta, 2016. Keberadaan dan pemberdayaaan perpustakaan sudah menjadi komitmen pemerintah, bahwa perpustakaan diharapkan dapat berfungsi menjadi fasilitas pembelajaran bagi masyarakat yang sesusai dengan perencanangan gerak pemberdayaan perpustakaan di masyarakat, program tersebut melalalui program pengembangan perpustakaan dan budaya baca dengan kegiatan pengembangan minat dan pembinaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui 1) jenis layanan di UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Islam Batik Surakarta; dan 2) pengelolaan pelayanan di UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Islam Batik Surakarta. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi studi kepustakaan, observasi, wawancara, dan metode partisipasi. Dari hasil penelitian mengenai Aktivitas Layanan di UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Islam Batik Surakarta dapat disimpulkan bahwa : 1) Jenis layanan yang ada di UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Islam Batik Surakarta berjumlah 4 layanan; 2) Prosedur pelayanan sudah cukup baik dimana setiap prosedur layanan yang ada diberikan penjelasan secara terperinci agar mudah di pahami oleh pengunjung baik mahasiswa pengunjung dari lain Universitas disekitar kota Surakarta; dan 3) Sistemnya pelayanan masih menggunakan SIMPUS yang berbasis manual tidak online. The existence and empowerment of libraries already committed by the government, that the library was expected to serve as learning facilities to people that in accordance to the design of library empowerment in the community. The programs are including of library development program and reading culture by the activities of interest development and coaching. The study purposes were determined 1) the type of service in the Library Unit of Batik Islamic University Surakarta; and 2) service management in Library Unit of Batik Islamic University Surakarta. Data collection methods were used literature study, observation, interviews, and participation methods. From the study results on service activity in Library Unit of Batik Islamic University Surakarta can be concluded that: 1) The services types available in the Library Unit of Batik Islamic University Surakarta consists of 4 types of service; 2) the service procedure is good where all of existin service procedures were detailed explanation to be easily understood by visitors both visitors from students and other university around the of Surakarta; and 3) The service system is still used SIMPUS is an offline manual-based system.
