IMPROVING THE LISTENING SKILL OF GATHUTKACA LAIR LEATHER-PUPPET STORY BY USING SNAKE LADDER GAME ON MU’ADZ FOURTH GRADE STUDENTS IN SD AL-AZHAR SYIFA BUDI SOLO IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2015/2016. Minithesis, Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Sebelas Maret University Surakarta. October 2016. The purpose of this research is to increase the listening skill of Gathutkaca Lair leather-puppet story by using snake ladder game on Mu’adz fourth grade students in SD Al-Azhar Syifa Budi Solo in the academic year 2015/2016. The form of this research is classroom action researches conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consist of two gathering and four steps, they are planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The research subject are the teacher and the Mu’adz fourth grade students of SD Al-Azhar Syifa Budi Solo in the academic year 2015/2016 consisted of 25 students. Data collecting techniques used are documentation, observation, interview and test. Data analysis technique used is interactive analyses (Miles & Huberman). Data validations used are sources and technique triangulation. Based on the result of this research it can be concluded that the use of snake ladder game can improve the listening skill Gathutkaca Lair leather-puppet story on the Mu’adz fourth grade students of SD Al-Azhar Syifa Budi Solo in the academic year 2015/2016. It can be proven by the improvement of the listening skill score in each cycle. The class average score of the listening skill before the treatment was only 44,8 with the minimum learning completeness of 8%. After the treatment, the class average score become 69,8 with the minimum learning completeness of 48% in cycle I, and become 84, with the minimum learning completeness of 84% in cycle II.
