ANALYSIS OF CARRYING CAPACITY OF WATER RESOURCES IN THE TELOMOYO WATERSHED KEBUMEN 2016 (To Increase Learning Substance High School Geography Class X Subject Matter Dynamics Hydrosphere). Thesis. Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Sebelas Maret University. Surakarta. January, 2017. The purpose of this study are to knows: (1) the availability of water resources in the Telomoyo watershed, (2) the need for water resources in the Telomoyo watershed, (3) the carrying capacity of water resources based on comparison between the potential of water resources and the need for water resources in the Telomoyo watershed, (4) the direction of landuse based on carrying capacity of water resources in the Telomoyo watershed. This research use qualitative descriptive method by using spatial approach. This population research analysis parts of the watershed (upstream, midstream, and downstream). Population, livestock, and land on any part of the watershed is used to calculate the amount of water availability, water demand, the carrying capacity of water resource conditions, and directive of landuse in each part of the watershed. Data collection techniques use observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis techniques such as analysis of the carrying capacity of water resources is calculated by comparing the availability of water (method of Thornthwaite - Mather) and the need for water based (domestic, landuse, and farm). The results showed that: (1) The amount of water availability Telomoyo watershed amounted to 959 065 660 m³/year which is divided on the upstream side of 351 964 075 m³/year, in the middle part 433 509 870 m³ / year, and the lower reaches 173 591 714 m³/year. (2) The amount of water needs Telomoyo watershed amounted to 741 404 066 m³/year which is divided in the upper 227 007 696 m³/year, in the central part 314 933 012 m³ / year, and the lower reaches 199 463 358 m³/year. (3) The carrying capacity of water resources Telomoyo watershed, but overall still in a state of surplus (4) The direction of Telomoyo watershed landuse upstream part and the central part of a move away from dry land into rice fields because conditions are still surplus water. For the downstream direction, urge or restrict the use of land settlement and landuse type fields because it has a high level of water consumption.
