    The interior design food center that is used as a support area of a shopping center in Surakarta is motivated by the needs of modern society. In order to meet the needs of modern society then designed a dining area located within a shopping center with a modern style. The interior design of this food center into the topics raised in this paper. In this scheme there are several restaurants including Indonesian Food Restaurant, Ice Cream and Salad Restaurant, Fast Food Restaurant and Coffee Shop. In application of materials used in the design is the material that is easy to change, light and strong. Such as multiplex and stainless steel. Installation of the glass wall will also reinforce the concept of the design is modern because you install something transparent would make the room a more modern. The thing that makes this scheme different is the union between the design of the restaurant. Differences concept of shopping centers and restaurants will be unified and combined with other restaurants but still has the harmony and balance of design and does not conflict with the concept. Based on the above discussion it can be concluded that the design of the food center which become supporters of a building have to think about the concept of harmony and balance. Moreover, it can unite different concepts in every restaurant to make it look harmonious and balanced is the main task of the designer. Keywords: Interior Designs, Food Center, Modern
