    Abstract

    Abstract The objective of this research is to obtain a comparison of the distribution of the cooling system temperature in each model by using two materials, namely aluminium and copper and also to get a model that has dimensions that have the best efficiency which is able to maintain the operating temperature of mosfet under 175 0C. ANSYS Fluent was used for the temperature distribution simulation. Each stage will be varied on the model of the cooling system with diameter in of pipes 6 mm and 7 mm with a radius of curvature of pipe each one 10 mm and 15 mm. There are two heat transfer in this simulation, namely conduction and convection. Cold plate by using aluminium, pipe on the cold plate by using copper, while the working fluid by using water. The temperature of the cooling system the motor controller of the simulation result on the variation diameter in of pipes 6 mm with radius of curvature 10 mm, diameter in of pipes 6 mm with radius of curvature 15 mm, diameter in of pipes 7 mm with radius of curvature 10 mm, and diameter in of pipes 7 mm with radius of curvature 15 mm achieved by the model of the diameter in of pipe 7 mm with radius of curvature 15 mm with a maximum final temperature on the controller by 6,42 0C. Based on the simulation results obtained the model 3 has a value of the heat transfer rate that is 493,27 W with a thermal efficiency in the amount of 99,89 %.
