    Abstract

    The health worker should be guaranteed quality and standardized nationally in order to provide good service. But there are still consumer complaints and perceived by service users about the attitude and skills of health personnel. One cause is the activity of learning skills in laboratory practice has not been implemented optimally. This study aims to determine how the skills lab manager in planning, implementation, and evaluation of student learning skills injection. The research is descriptive qualitative. The selection method is intended to further explore qualitative data and information so that can know the opinions and views of the management skills lab AKPER Bahrul Ulum Jombang, counselors, and student to the process of learning the skills lab at AKPER Bahrul Ulum Jombang. Collecting data by means of focus group discussions, depth interviews, observation, document analysis. In order to obtain valid and reliable data, triangulation is performed by comparing data and a resource with another resource. Data obtained and informants were also compared with data obtained from observation and document study. Data analysis performed by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Recording results of interviews using AZ-Text software. Based results obtained (1) Management skills lab has prepared a schedule of lessons, practice manuals, instructors who are competent in their fields, mannequin IC had reduced function, syringes and drug ampoule form jurnlahnya inadequate. (2) Implementation of the learning skills lab is divided into three sessions of guided, independent, and responsiveness. At the beginning of the guided session, the instructor check the readiness of students, the book examines the work plan, describing the materials and demonstrated on a mannequin. At the session the students to practice their own independent unaccompanied instructor. Some students lack motivation. When the response of students to practice skills in front of the instructor and then given feedback. (3) Evaluation of skill with the OSCE, written knowledge test. The evaluation results showed students were competent. (4) Obstacles in the implementation of sklills lab, that there are mentors who do not check for brk students, in the manufacture of specialist nurses lab manual is less a role, the independent activities of students less motivated, less picket officer serves to control the students during independent practice.
