    Abstract

    ABSTRAK Ozi Hendratama. NIM S861502024. Learning model based on transmigration archives to improve the ability to Historical Eksplanation for the students ofSMAN 1 Bangunrejo Lampung Tengah. Consultant 1: Dr. Akhmad Arif Musadad, M.Pd. Pembimbing II: Dr. Leo Agung S., M.Pd. Thesis: Magister program on Historical Education, Graduate School, SebelasMaret University Surakarta. This research and development aims at describing: (1) the model of teaching history applied in SMAN 1 Bangunrejo Lampung Tengah, (2) the development of learning model based on transmigration archives to improve the ability to Historical Eksplanation, (3) the effectiveness of learning model based on transmigration archives to improve the ability to Historical Eksplanation. This study is categorized as a research and development modified from Borg and Gall concept. The stages of the research which are adjusted based on the need of the researcher include preliminary study, developing learning model, and try out to measure the effectiveness of the model. The analysis and the feasibility of the model useLikert 1-2 scale. Meanwhile, T-test is implemented to measure the effectiveness of the model. Based on the result, teachers tended to implement lecturing method (teacher centered). Most students were interested in transmigration archives. Students’ explanation skill was low. Most students had not understood yet that the ability to explain the history was essential when learning history. Learning model in this study includes preparation, implementation, and conclusion. Experts’ validation is considered to accomplish the model which will be developed into try-out stage. The result shows that model validation is 4, 61 (good), RPP (lesson plan) is 4, 09 (good), paper test is 4,18 (good), and materials is 4 (good). During T-test, the result shows 3,990 with significance 0,000 < 0,025. It implies that there is a significantly influence to the developing model. Thus, the average number before study is different form it after study conducted. In conclusion, the developing model of learning history is effective to improve students’ ability to explain the history.
