    Abstract

    ABSTRACT The purpose of this research are 1. To identify the service quality of education on junior secondary school, 2. To seek spatial pattern of school based on quality service in Magelang city. The conclusion of this research, are: Firstly, the junior secondary school education service in Magelang City in unsatisfy. These score of Gap 5 are below standard or zero. It’s indicate discrepancy of expectation and perception is too far, overall result scores are Tangibles Dimension are -0,593, Reliability Dimension are -0,422, Responsiveness, Dimension are -0,497, Assurance Dimension are -0,326 and Emphaty Dimension are 0,076. Junior secondary school is supported by government and focus on cognitive ability development, so it had better result on tangibles, responsiveness, dan assurance dimension, value of gap 5 got -0,584, -0,479 and -0,047, and private high school got -0,602, -0, 515 and -0,200. Private high school concern to character building and religion had higher score on reliability dan emphaty dimension. It’s score are -0,334 dan -0,310 and state junior high school got -0,494 and -0,342. Secondly, spatial pattern of quality and location of school are regular. their’s scores are almost reach 2.15. Regular pattern happens in three districts of Magelang city, almost all location of school near highway and around city growth point except in south Magelang distric. But only few school that have good education quality ,the rest is medium even below standard. Almost school with the good grade located in center district of magelang city it can be said that schools that located center district are lack of control and need of construction.
