The research and development (R & D) is strives to develop Multimedia Interactive Learning of Geography on materials of natural disaster mitigation and adaptation. Multimedia Interactive Learning of Geography, as the output product can be used as self-learning tools for students. The purposes of research and development are: 1) Determine the steps of developing multimedia interactive learning using Adobe Flash CS 5.5 on material of natural disaster mitigation and adaptation in the class X SMA N IIS 7 Surakarta; 2) Determine the feasibility of multimedia interactive learning using Adobe Flash CS 5.5. towards the students’ cognitive learning outcomes on material of natural disasters mitigation and adaptation, after the application in the class X SMA N IIS 7 Surakarta. This R & D methods using simple random sampling as the sampling technique. Data collecting technique conducted through questionnaires and tests. Questionnaires is used to obtain the assessment’s results of the subject matter experts validation, media expert validation, geography teacher validation, and trial and test of students. Population in this study are class X IIS in SMA N 7 Surakarta. After the validation by subject matter experts and media expert, interactive multimedia learning tested against the students which is 5 students on one to one evaluation, 11 students on small group evaluation and 21 students on field trial evaluation. The results indicates that: (1) multimedia interactive learning of geography on the subject matter of natural disasters mitigation and adaptation developed for class X IIS obtain expert assessment of media, subject matter experts, educators and product trials with a score mode 4 (good) from a minimum value 3 (sufficient, in a Likert scale) were determined by the researchers; (2) multimedia interactive learning has decent based on application multimedia interactive learning of geography on the subject matter of natural disasters mitigation and adaptation to class X IIS proven to improve cognitive learning outcomes of students who pass with a percentage of 80.29% above the minimum completeness criteria, 75.
