    Abstract

    ANALISIS PERTUMBUHAN GARUT (MARANTHA ARUNDINACEAE) PADA BEBERAPA TINGKAT PENGHAMBATAN DAUN JATI KERING Silvia Sari Dewi1) Supriyono2) Wartoyo2) ABSTRAK Tanaman garut dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber karbohidrat alternatif. Umbi garut memiliki kadar indeks glikemik yang rendah yaitu dengan skala 14. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Lahan Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sebelas Maret di Jumantono Karanganyar. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) satu faktor perlakuan dengan lima taraf yaitu Kontrol, 20 g, 40 g, 60 g, dan 80 g remahan daun jati kering. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam dan apabila terdapat beda nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Daun jati kering sampai dengan perlakuan 60 g tidak menghambat pertumbuhan tanaman garut. Daun jati kering 80 g menghambat laju pertumbuhan tanaman garut. Perlakuan daun jati kering 80 g menurunkan laju asimilasi bersih dan laju pertumbuhan relatif tanaman. ARROWROOT (MARANTHA ARUNDINACEAE) GROWTH ANALYSIS AT SOME INHIBITION OF DRY TEAK LEAF Silvia Sari Dewi1) Supriyono2) Wartoyo2) ABSTRACT Arrowroot plant can be used as an alternative source of carbohydrates. Arrowroot tuber belong to have low glycemic index levels, with the scal of 14. This research was conducted at the Experimental Farm Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sebelas Maret in Jumantono Karanganyar. This research uses a randomized completed block design (RCBD) one treatment factor with five levels ie control, 20 g. 40 g, 60 g, and 80 g dry teak leaf crumbs. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance and if there is a significant difference continued with DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) level of 5%. The results showed that the dry teak leaves up to 60 g treatment did not inhibit the growth of arrowroot plant. Dry teak leaves 80 g inhibited the growth rate of arrowroot plant. Treatment of dry teak leaves 80 g decreased net assimilation rate and relative growth rate of plants.
