    Abstract

    CORRELATION OF ATHEROGENIC INDEX OF PLASMA AND LIPOPROTEIN ASSOCIATED PHOSPHOLIPASE A2 MASS Study in Acute Myocardial Infarction Patients Noor Diniyah*, JB. Atherogenic index of plasma (AIP) as a new marker of plasma atherogenecity and directly related to atherosclerosis. Triglyceride and HDL-c AIP reflect the relationship between atherogenic and protective lipoprotein. Lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 (Lp-PLA2) play an important role in the development of atherosclerosis and involved in inflammation pathway and plaque rupture. The purpose of this research was to study the correlation of AIP and Lp-PLA2in IMA. This cross sectional study was done in Dr. Moewardi Hospital, Surakarta in September-October 2016. The subjects were AMI patients aged >18 years AMI in Emergency Department of Dr. Moewardi Hospital at Surakarta. Correlative analysis of AIP and Lp-PLA2 mass used Pearson correlation test, significant if p <0.05. The result yielded 50 subjects, 42 subjects were male and 8 were female, mean age 58.34+13.02 years. Correlative analysis results on AIP with Lp-PLA2 mass was r = 0.102; p = 0.24. In conclusion, there is no correlation between AIP and Lp-PLA2 mass. Further research is needed to analyze factors that can affect AIP and Lp-PLA2 massa in patients with AMI as use antidiabetic, anti hypertensive and statin drugs. Research about AIP and Lp-PLA2 mass as a predictor of the occurrence of AMI in patients with risk factors for diabetes, hypertension, and dyslipidemia is also needed. Keywords: AMI, AIP, Lp-PLA2
