The background of this research is the unavailability of martial arts learning model that integrates the audio-visual interactive programs are used as a reference for building the capacity of the basic techniques of martial arts among students. The purpose of this study is to create a model for training basic techniques of martial arts for beginners level, covers the basic techniques of horses, punches and kicks as well as treatment for forming speed, all of which are arranged in an interactive media that is easily accessible at any time, by anyone, anywhere, particularly in SMK Negeri 1 Miri. The method used is the approach "method of research & development (reasearch and developement)." Preliminary studies suggest as much as 41% of teachers assess the likely martial arts sport developed in the direction of achievement. But as much as 46.2% sports teacher trouble to demonstrate the martial art pencak silat. Even as much as 56.4% physical education teachers do not master the martial art pencak silat. For it is deemed necessary to develop audio-visual learning media based interactive multimedia. Media development starts from the design model in the form of storyboards and scripts to be used as a media. The design of this model is referred to as a model draft. Draft model has been prepared and reviewed by multimedia expert also martial arts experts to gain validity of the product. Event 78.38% experts claim a decent product with some input. In small groups with the number n = 6 values obtained 71.8% or valid to be tested on a large group. In the test large groups with n = 12 values obtained 70.49% or worthy enough to be tested in the field. In the field tests made experimental group with the appropriate treatment and control groups with the media-free treatment. Of significance test calculation results can be interpreted that the result of a calculation reject Ho with a calculated value that is far above the value of t table. The results of the basic technical skills of martial arts increased by 19.5% - 58.3% in the experimental group and 6% - 35.9% in the control group. Based on the results of the calculation of the difference in the final score improvement after conducted the final test, showing the difference in scores is greater for a given treatment group training models developed by researchers. It can be concluded that the use of interactive media audio-visual learning martial arts model is quite effective can improve the basic skills of martial arts techniques.
