    Abstract

    ABSTRACT Gigih Garindra Issudibyo. K3211028. APPLICATION DRILL METHOD DO IMPROVEMENT PAINTING SKILL STILL LIFE TO CLASS VII-A OF SMP 1 GROGOL SUKOHARJO IN ACADEMIC YEAR OF 2015/2016. Thesis. Faculty Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret University of Surakarta, July. 2016. The purpose of this research to improvement painting skill at class grade VII A of SMP 1 Grogol Sukoharjo on application of Drill Method. This research is clasroom action research. The research subject is the grade VII A students of SMP 1 Grogol Sukoharjo in academic year 2015/2016 which consist of 32 (thirty two) students. This research had done in 2 (two) cycles, each cycles consist of 4 (four) steps, there are planning, action implementation, observation, reflection. This research had done in April until Juny 2016. The technique of collecting data which had done in this research are observation, documentation, test and interview. The technique of analysis data that used are comparative discriptive technique and critical analysis technique. The result of this clasroom action research show the improvement of students in painting still life. From pracycles, result skill applied the composition, proportion, light and dark object percentage become of 61% then cycles I increase 72% and increased to 96 on cycles II by the achievement indicator 80% ; the accuracy of the object move the field of painting percentage become of 76 then cycles I increase 81% and increased to 98 on cycles II by the achievement indicator 80% ; skill applied water color percentage become of 71% then cycles I increase 74% and increased to 96% on cycles II by the achievement indicator 80% ; applied finishing percentage become of 60% then cycles I increase 85% and increased to 98 on cycles II by the achievement indicator 80%. The result of the action, we can be conclude that the learning of painting still life on water color which use drill method with technic study group, learning modul and learning self can improvement the skill painting still life at second VII-A grade of SMP 1 Grogol Sukoharjo in academic year of 2015/2016.
