    Abstract

    ABSTRACT Dyah Ayuningtyas Purnomo, D0212037, COMMUNITY RELATION AND CORPORATE IMAGE (Descriptive Qualitative Study to Community Relations Activity of PT. Pertamina EP Asset 4 Field Cepu in Building Company’s Image at The Society Of Kelurahan Ngelo – Karangboyo, Cepu District, Blora Regency). Skripsi, Department Of Communication, Faculty Of Social and Political Science, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta, July, 2016. Corporate Image can be built from a good perception and how company is accepted by the society where they exist. Through the community relations realized by Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) actions that keep suistainable implementing by Public Relations PT. Pertamina EP Asset 4 Field Cepu, will be more influence due the process of image building. In this research, writer try to reveal how image that had been created in the society of Kelurahan Ngelo and Kelurahan Karangboyo as the nearby society of PT. Pertamina EP Asset 4 Field Cepu The purpose of this research is to know the community relation action that implementing by Public Relations or Legal & Relations Function PT. Pertamina EP Asset 4 Field Cepu to the nearby society. This research also to know what the image which grown in the society of company around. This is descriptive qualitative research, which data collected using in-depth interviewing, observation, and document. The informan were choosen with purposive sampling method, which mean, selecting the informan which representing the copmmunity which can be a trusted source of information, and know the problem for detail. Data analysis gathered using Miles and Huberman interaction model to make data analysis, and data validity it self was tested using source trianggulation. The result shows that Community Relation actions are realized in the CSR. CSR program conducted by Cepu Field is providing assistance to the community in the areas of helath, economy, education, infrastructure and the environment. That activities is a company’s responsibility at the end could build positive image of PT. Pertamina EP Asset 4 Field Cepu, and well held by Legal & Relation have built positive image of the society company around. It is proven by the positive feed back and trusts that shows by the around society to the Community Relation activity of PT.
