    Abstract

    This research aim to 1) analyze development of economic learning module through a scientific approach on student class X IPS at SMA Negeri 1 Gadingrejo Lampung; 2) analyze the effectiveness of economic learning modules through a scientific approach to improve student learning achivement class X IPS in SMA Negeri 1 Gadingrejo Lampung. This reseach is reseach and development (R&D) with procedure development model by Borg and Gall, which was modified into nine phases, namely 1) research and information collecting; 2) planning; 3) develop preliminary form a product; 4) preliminary field testing; 5) operational product revision; 6) main field testing; 7) main product revision; 8) operating testing; 9) final product. The data was analyzed by using the analysis descriptive data and inferential data by using the t-test. The result research and development namely economic learning module through a scientific approach successfully developed based on scientific approach to learning components (5 M, ie observing, questioning, experimenting, associating and communicating). Based on result of descriptive analyze of the economic learning module assessment through a scientific approach of with very good criteria. Based on the analysis t-test of using the software IBM SPSS 20, obtained significance value of 0.000 <α (0.05), which showed that H1 is accepted means of student learning achivement experimental class is better than the control class. The conclusion of this study is economic learning module through a scientific approach worthy to improve student learning achivement and economics learning modules through effective scientific approach to improve student learning achivement.
