    Abstract

    ABSTRAK Rosary Putri Santika. K8412072. IMPLEMETASI NILAI KEDISIPLINAN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DI SEKOLAH MENEGAH ATAS (Studi Deskriptif Kualitatif di SMA Kristen Widya Wacana Surakarta). Skripsi, Surakarta : Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta, Agustus 2016. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui (1) cara implementasi nilai kedisiplinan pendidikan karakter, (2) peran guru dan sekolah dalam implementasi nilai kedisiplinan pendidikan karakter, (3) hambatan yang dihadapi dalam implementasi nilai kedisiplinan pendidikan karakter. Bentuk penelitan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan strategi pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data berasal dari para guru, siswa dan karyawan SMA Kristen Widya Wacana Surakarta dalam memperoleh informasi mengenai implementasi pendidikan karakter. Pengambilan informan menggunakan teknik purposive dengan snowball sampling, pengambilan informan berdasarkan penilaian tertentu beberapa orang yang pantas untuk dijadikan informan, kemudian meluas ke orang lain yang dipandang lebih tahu dan dapat melengkapi data yang diberikan oleh beberapa informan sebelumnya. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Validitas data menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis interaktif yakni dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan (1) implementasi nilai kedisiplinan pendidikan karakter yang diterapkan di SMA Kristen Widya Wacana melalui aturan atau tata tertib, razia dan pemberian sanksi kepada siswa – siswi yang melanggar tata tertib sekolah, (2) peran guru dan sekolah dalam implementasi nilai kedisiplinan pendidikan karakter yaitu monitoring, pengawasan serta pembuat kebijakan sebagai upaya dalam proses implementasi nilai kedisiplinan pendidikan karakter di SMA Kristen Widya Wacana, (3) hambatan dalam implementasi nilai kedisiplinan pendidikan karakter oleh sekolah berasal dari latar belakang keluarga, pergaulan siswa dan lingkungan sekolah yang kurang kondusif serta kurang mendukungnya proses penanaman nilai kedisiplinan. Penelitian ini menggunakan perspektif teori struktural fungsional Tallcot Parsons dengan perspektif AGIL, yaitu adaptasi, goal (tujuan), integrasi dan latensi sebagai suatu sistem yang memiliki fungsi untuk menciptakan keteraturan, kedisiplinan dan krisis karakter yang terjadi serta tetap menjaga peran dan fungsi dari lembaga pendidikan atau sekolah dalam implementasi nilai kedisiplinan. THE IMPLEMENTATION OF DISCIPLINE VALUE OF CHARACTER EDUCATION IN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL (Qualitative Descriptive Study in Christian High School Widya Wacana Surakarta). This study is aimed to (1) determine the form of implementation of discipline value of character education in Christian High School Widya Wacana Surakarta, (2) determine teachers’ and school’s role in the implementation of discipline value of character education in Christian High School Widya Wacana Surakarta, (3) know the obstacle in the implementation of discipline value of character education in Christian High School Widya Wacana Surakarta. This research was conducted in Christian High School Widya Wacana Surakarta. This study is a qualitative research with qualitative descriptive approach strategy. The sources of data were derived from the teachers, students and school’s employees of Christian High School Widya Wacana Surakarta in obtaining information about the implementation of character education. The sampling used in this research is extemporaneous purposive sampling which takes the first person who was found to get the next sampling to obtain depth and complete data. The technique of collecting data used in this research are observation; in-depth interviews that was conducted with teachers, students and school’s employees of Christian High School Widya Wacana Surakarta; and also documentation because it is more appropriate with the topic under study. The data validation used source triangulation . The data analysis was conducted by using an interactive technique analysis that includes data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and verification. The research’s findings showed that (1) kinds of implementation of discipline that applied to the school is through rules or orders , raids and sanctions to students who are found violating the rules, (2) the teacher who should be able to be a model or example for the students but still might be found violating the rules, (3) the role of school in the implementation of discipline value is good enough that is through socialization to new students and also through the existence rules, the main obstacle in the implementation of discipline value of character education in the school comes from family background and also students’ association. This research’s uses the perspective of the theory of structural-functional Tallcot Parsons with the perspective of AGIL, namely adaptation, goal (goal), integration and latency as a system that has a function to create order, discipline and crisis character happens and sustain the role and function of the institution or schools in the implementation of the discipline value.
