Abstract
The final project report is about the process of designing and manufacturing of sand sieving equipment. The purpose of this final project is to design, build and test the machine sieve sand faster production processes and safe operability. Based on the results of Sand sieving machine design, the manufacturing sequence that is: the creation of order, sieving manufacture, manufacture of pulleys driving, driving pin manufacture, process putty, basic coloring, the process of painting and assembly process. Sand sieving machine capacity is ± 900 kg / hour. The results of the transmission system design Sand sieving machine is using the power of 0.5 HP using a motor pulley to be reduced Ø63,5 mm double pulley diameter Ø177,8 mm respectively and Ø76,2 mm. To reduce the rotational speed of the pulley Ø76,2 reduced speed rotation to pulleys Ø203,2 mm. The sand sieving machine uses a type A v belt with a length of 36 inches from the belt pulleys Ø177,8 Ø63,5 mm to 48 mm and a length-inch belt. The sand sieving machine using a shaft with Ø20 mm and pegs with a width of 8 mm, thickness 7 mm and a length of 30 mm.
