    Abstract

    The purposes of this study were (1) To determine the increase of students‘ confident attitude on physics after the implementation of the Quantum Teaching learning method using Group Study techniques in class X Wooden Construction Engineering SMK Negeri 2 Sragen, Sragen Regency. (2) To know the increase in student learning achievement in Physics study after implementation of the Quantum Teaching learning method using Group Study techniques in class X Wooden Construction Engineering 1 SMK Negeri 2 Sragen, Sragen Regency. Research method used was a class action. This classroom action research using student research subjects 30 students of class X of a Wooden Construction Engineering Department of SMK Negeri 2 Sragen 2010/2011 academic year, as collaborators are peers, that is physics teacher and teacher of physics laboratory named Tabitha S.Pd. Cycle of activities include; determining the focus of research problems, action planning, action implementation, observation, analysis and reflection, and follow-up planning. Data collection with documentation, observation, and interviews. Data analysis using critical analysis and comparative analysis. The results showed that there was an increase of achievement competency standard of Measuring Quantities and applying it’s unit, the students of class X Wooden Construction Engineering 1 SMK Negeri 2 Sragen academic year 2010/2011, and KKM value of 66.7 with a total percentage of 100% competencies completeness of 30 students. Based on the results of the study, the researchers recommend that the Quantum Teaching method with the Study Group can enhance student’ self-confident and enhancing students’ learning achievement of Physics in class X of Wooden Construction Engineering 1 SMK Negeri 2 Sragen.
