    Abstract

    Yosef Raharjo.K5408012. MORPHO-CONSERVATION OF WALIKAN WATERSHED OF KARANGANYAR REGENCY AND WONOGIRI REGENCY IN 2015. Skripsi. Surakarta: The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta, April 2016. The objectives of this research are to investigate: (1) the landforms of Walikan watershed in 2015; (2) the area functions of Walikan watershed in 2015; (3) the land uses of Walikan watershed in 2015; (4) the concordance between the area function and the land use of Walikan watershed in 2015; and (5) morpho conservation of Walikan watershed in 2015. This research used the geographical research method, namely: the spatial approach through the use of pattern, structure, and spatial process analyses. The spatial correlation between the determined variables used the landform unit. Its unit analysis involved the Geographical Information System (GIS). The population of research was 10 landform units at Walikan watershed. The samples of soil and rock were determined through census. They consisted of 10 samples. The data of research were collected through observation and documentation. The area functions of the watershed were analyzed by using the criteria of area functions of watershed in accordance with Decrees of Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 837/Kpts/Um/11/1980 and Number: 683/Kpts/Um/8/1981 regarding Criteria and Procedures for Establishment of Protected Forest and Production Forest with the Outputs of Area Function Maps and Determination of Morpho-conservation by Overlaying the Landform Units, Area Functions, Land Uses, and Technical and Vegetative Conservation Directions. The result of the overlaying is the morpho-conservation map of Walikan watershed in 2015. The results of the research are as follows. 1) The landforms of Walikan watershed were old volcanic cones, old volcanic upper slopes, old volcanic middle slopes, and old volcanic fluvial foothill slopes. 2) The land uses of Walikan watershed include settlements, farms, moors, rice fields, shrub lands, and forests. 3) The area of Walikan watershed functions as protected area, buffer area, annual crop cultivation area, and seasonal crop cultivation area. 4) Some area functions are not in accordance with the land uses. 5) There are three formats of morpho-conservation for the landform units whose uses are not in accordance with the area functions, namely: V21And3 of the functions of buffer area with the conservation direction of T(1,2,6,7,8) and V (4,9,10,11,12,14), and V22And3 of the buffer area with conversation of the direction, and V23And3 with the area functions of annual crop cultivation area with the conservation direction of T (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) and V (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) Keywords: Pattern, structure, spatial process analyses, landform units, area functions, morpho-conservation.
