    Abstract

    ABSTRACT Lu’lu’ul Maknunah. K4312035. EFFECT OF PLANTAE LESSON DESIGN BASED INQUIRY LEARNING TO ARGUMENTATIVE SKILLS OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. Thesis. Surakarta: Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Sebelas Maret University. August 2016. The goal of research is to know how is the of plantae lesson design based inquiry learning to argumentative skills of high school students. This research was a quasy experimental research with nonequivalent control group of two classes were used, there were control class and experiment class. Both class were given pretest before treatment. Plantae lesson design based inquiry learning is applied as treatment to experiment class while control class did the study as usual teacher done. Posttest was given at the end of research. The population of this research was students of grade X in SMA Negeri A Surakarta. X MIA 1 and X MIA 2 class were selected as sample through cluster sampling method. Data were collected through test and nontest technique. Data of students’ argumentative skills were analyzed by using t-test at level of significant 5 % through SPSS 21. The procedure of research includes planning, implementation, and data analyze. Result showed on pretest-posttest of control class obtain value 0,051>0,05 that means there is no significant different of argumentative skills before and after the lesson while experiment class obtain value 0,000<0,05. It means that students’ argumentative skills significantly different before and after treatment. Based on the result of research, it can be concluded that plantae lesson design based inquiry learning influences positively to argumentative skills of high school students.
