    Abstract

Predator-prey model with functional response Michaclis-Ment en explained a simple ecosystem consist of a plant, small mammal which eats the plant and car nivorous predator which eats the iïmmmal. The equilibrium of ecosystem could be controlled if populations of plant were available. Global stability for this ecosystem becomes an interesting mathematical problem. if the system reach es stability, the populations of predator and prey will be in healthy numbers. The aim of this paper is finding sufficient conditions for global analysis with the biological i nt erpret at, ion. The methods used in this thesis are theoretical—simulations which lineariza— tion method for explaining local stability and Poincar’e—Bendixon Theorem for global stability. As the results, global stability is reached at nontrivial equilibrium points (a) E2 = (A, 0) on interval 0 < A < , with the absence of predator, and (b) E3 = (,ìì*, v*) with m = and * = bhr (11(b_c)_ch) on inteal < A < û : b—c A3(b—c)- b—c for any o, both of predator and prey present in ecosystem. The interpretation of global stability is that the ecosystem in a stable conditions or healthy numbers with unlimited time.
