    Abstract

    RANCANG BANGUN SISTEM TRANSMISI MESIN SPIN COATING Oleh: Rahmat Andi Prasetyo ABSTRAK Proyek akhir ini akan membahas tentang perancanan dan pembuatan sistem transmisi pada mesin spin coating. Mesin spin coating berfungsi untuk menghasilkan lapisan tipis yang merata di atas sebuah material dengan cara merotasikan larutan film tipis pada kecepatan sudut tertentu. Mesin spin coating menggunakan pemanfaatan fenomena reaksi gaya sentrifugal yang mengarah keluar pada material yang berputar. Sisitem transmisi mesin spin coating dirancang agar dapat meneruskan daya dan menahan kemampatan. Bearing vacuum dirancang agar dapat meneruskan daya dan menjaga kemampatan. Bearing vacuum terbuat dari bahan nylon sebagai housing dan dua buah seal sebagai penahan kemampatan. Perancangan mesin spin coating memiliki spesifikasi motor penggerak ¼ HP dengan sistem transmisi pulley dan sabuk. Material uji yang digunakan maksimal berjari-jari 150 mm. Dari perhitungan diperoleh berat maksimal material yang dapat diuji dengan mesin spin coating adalah 4,71 Kg. Kata kunci : Bearing vacuum, film tipis, gaya sentrifugal, coating DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE OF SYSTEM TRANSMISSION SPIN COATING MACHINE By: Rahmat Andi Prasetyo ABSTRACT This final project will discuss about design and construction of transmission systems on the spin coating machine. Spin coating machine serves to produce a uniform thin layer on a material by means of rotating the thin film solution at a certain angular velocity. Spin coating machine uses centrifugal force reaction to the spinning material. System transmission spin coating machine was designed to transmit power and restrain congestion. Bearing vacuum was designed to transmit power and keep congestion. Bearing vacuum made of nylon material as the housing and the two seals as a drag congestion. Design specification of spin coating machine used ¼ HP motor with a pulley and belt to the transmission system. The maximum radius material used test was 150 mm. From the calculation,the maximum weight of tested material that could be tested by spin coating machine is 4,71 Kg. Keywords: Bearing vacuum, thin film, centrifugal force coating
