EXPERIMENTATION OF TWO STAY TWO STRAY (TS-TS) LEARNING MODEL ON THE SUBJECT OF TANGENT LINE OF CIRCLE VIEWED FROM SOCIAL MANNERED FOR THE EIGHT GRADE STUDENTS EVEN SEMESTER OF SMP NEGERI 16 SURAKARTA IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2015/2016. Thesis, Surakarta: Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Sebelas Maret University, August 2016. This research is aimed at investigating on the subject of tangent line of circle: (1) which TS-TS learning model or direct instruction model gives better learning achievement; (2) which students has better learning achievement among those having good, average, bad level of social manner; (3) in each cooperative learning, which one gives better learning achievement for students having good, average, bad level of social mannered; (4) in each level of social mannered, which one gives better mathematics achievement by the use of TS-TS learning model or direct instruction. This reseacrh belongs to a quasi-experimental research. The population of the research is all students of eight grade of SMP Negeri 16 Surakarta academic year 2015/2016. Sampling was done by cluster random sampling. Methods of collecting data were the documentation for students’ initial capability, the questionnaire for students’ social manner and the test for students’ Math learning achievement on the subject of tangent line of circle. Data was analyzed with two-way analysis of variance with different cells, then analyzed with multiple comparison test using Scheffemethod with 0,05 significance level. The result showed of this research. (1) TS-TS learning model gives better achievement then direct instruction on the subject of tangent line of circle. (2) On the subject of tangent line of circle, students with good social manner achieved same learning outcome then average social manner; students with good social manner achieved better learning outcome then bad social manner; students with average social manner achieved better learning outcome then bad social manner. (3) In each learning model students with good social manner achieved same learning outcome then average social manner; students with good social manner achieved better learning outcome then bad social manner; students with average social manner achieved better learning outcome then bad social manner. (4) In each social manner, TS-TS learning model gives better achievement then direct instruction. Keywords: two stay two stray (TS-TS), social mannered, achievement
