    THE EFFECT OF MULGE AND FERTILIZER COMBINATION ON BROCCOLI (Brassica oleracea var.Italica) PLANT GROWTH AND PRODUCTIVITY Prambayu Brenda Herera1 H3313040 Ir. Wartoyo SP, MS2 dan Setyowati, SP, MP3 ABSTRACT Broccoli is the member of cabbage family coming from Italia. Broccoli is preferred widely because it contains vitamin and mineral the human body needs. Broccoli belongs to non-heat resistant vegetable; it is planted on highland that is humid with low temperature, at 700 m altitude. The constraints encountered in broccoli cultivation included weeds growth and mineral element deficiency. Regarding this, an observation was conducted on broccoli plant growth and productivity with cultivation using some treatment: mulge and ZA fertilizer combination, mulge and urea fertilizer combination, no mulge and ZA fertilize combination, and no mulge and urea fertilizer combination. The productivity of broccoli with mulge and ZA fertilizer combination was better than the other three treatments. In the attempt of improving broccoli plant productivity, technique of combining mulge and ZA fertilizer could be one of best choices.
