    Abstract

IMPROVING UNDERSTAND OF THE CONCEPT OF HEAT AND SOUND ENERGY THROUGH EXPERIMENT METHOD BASED TRUE OR FALSE (CLASSROOM ACTION RESEARCH AT THE FOURTH B GRADE STUDENTS OF PUCANGAN 03 SUKOHARJO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR OF 2015/2016. Mini thesis, Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Sebelas Maret University Surakarta. July 2016. The purpose of this study was to improve understanding of the concept of heat and sound energy through experiment method based True or False in to fourth B grade students of Pucangan 03 Sukoharjo the academic year of 2015/2016. This research was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) with cycles model. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research are the teacher and students of fourth B grade in Pucangan 03 Sukoharjo. The data collecting techniques of this research are observation, interview, and documentation. The validity of the data used source triangulation, technique triangulation, and content validity. The technique of analysis of the data used is interactive analysis model. The result of this research was shown that implementation of experiment method based True or False can improve the understanding of the concept enrgy heat and sound. This is evidenced by the increasing understanding of the observation of thermal energy concepts and sounds on each cycle. On the precycle, frequency KKM students who achieve as much as 5 students (17.85%). On the first cycle, increased to 19 students (67.85%). On the second cycle, increased to 24 students (85,72%). Based on the analysis of the data, it can be concluded that implementation of the experiment method based True or False can improve the understanding of the concept of heat energy and sound of the fourth B grade students of Pucangan 03 Sukoharjo Elementary School in the academic year of 2015/2016.
