    Abstract

    ABSTRACT THE MECHANISM AND CONSTRAINTS IN THE PROCESS OF PUBLISHING BANK INSURANCE IN SURAKARTA BRANCH OFFICE OF PT. BANK SYARIAH BUKOPIN RUBY AVISCA ASTARI F3613058 This research aimed to find out the mechanism and constraints in the process of publishing bank insurance in Surakarta Branch Office of PT. Bank Syariah Bukopin. The methods of collecting data used in this research were observation, interview and library study. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive analysis technique based on the existing fact relevant to the material studied. In the process of publishing guaranty, the Surakarta Branch Office of PT. Bank Syariah Bukopin cooperated with PT Jaminan Pembiayaan Askrindo Syariah. Originally, oblige and principal were entered into a work contract agreement, and then the principal applied for insurance bank and bank counter-insurance. If it was approved, PT. Jaminan Pembiayaan Askrindo Syariah would release approval letter; thereafter the bank conducted an analysis, and when it was feasible, the PT. Jaminan Pembiayaan Askrindo Syariah would publish bank counter-insurance, when the principal did not perform, the bank on the behalf of oblige would file claim to PT. Jaminan Pembiayaan Askrindo Syariah; if the claim has been consistent with the terms and conditions insured, the PT. Jaminan Pembiayaan Askrindo Syariah would pay the intended claim. The constraints encountered with the publication of insurance bank in PT. Jaminan Pembiayaan Askrindo Syariah were: 1) the public’s less knowledge on bank insurance, 2) the request from the principal to develop its own bank insurance format, and 3) the bank insurance had entered into expired date but the original bank insurance letter had not been returned to the bank. The solutions to those problems were: 1) promoting the bank insurance product marketing, 2) review the format wanted by principal, 3) the bank issued notification to the customers that bank insurance had been expired. For that reason, the writer recommended to conduct survey, to reevaluate the problems of insurance bank, and to expand the promotion of bank product.
