    Abstract

    ABSTRACT Hadi Suranto. Implementation Study of Membatik Learning Grade VIII th Students of SMP Negeri 1 Geyer Academic Year 2014/2015. Thesis. Surakarta: School Of Teacher Training and Education., Sebelas Maret University, January 2016. The aims of this study were: (1) Implementation study of membatik learning grade VIII th students of SMP Negeri 1 Geyer Grobogan Regency Academic Year 2014/2015. (2) The problem faced and how the solution were to solve in membatik learning implementation of grade VIII th students SMP Negeri 1 Geyer Grobogan Regency Academic Year 2014/2015. (3) The visualization of membatik learning grade VIII th students of SMP Negeri 1 Geyer Grobogan Regency Academic Year 2014/2015. (4). The roles of membatik art learning to built students’ character. This study used a qualitative method by using qualitative descriptive approach. The research strategy was a single case study poled. The data sources were informants, documents, documents, and the others used purposive sampling. The techniques of data collection were deepening interview, passive roled direct observations, and the analysis of documents’ substances. The validity of the data were sources triangulation and informants’ review. The techniques of data analysis used flow model of analysis. Based on the results of study, it can be concluded as followed : (1). The art implementation at Batik materials grade VIII F students of SMP Negeri 1 Geyer, was appropriate with lesson plan and also suitable with learning procedures included preface, core activities, and evaluation, whether written evaluation and practical evaluation. (2). The obstacles in membatik learning were as followed :when learning implementation of Batik materials were limited time, media aspects in Batik process, method aspect in learning implementation, evaluation aspect in paint art of Batik material were the process of membatik is too long, facilities and infrastructures were not completed yet. The solutions which were used by the teachers to solve the problem such as membatik process done after the lesson were finished, the ingredients and the tools which were used on practical task, the teacher made some group to apply CTL learning model, the evaluations by practicing Batik after the learning process, facilities and infrastructures were completed by independent, whether teachers or students. (3). Visualization of membatik learning of grade VIII F students of SMP Negeri 1 Geyer can be seen from paint elements in the students’ creations such as drops, lines, shades, and colours. (4). Teacher had important roles in membatik learning to build the students’ character. Teacher also had vital and fundamental roles to guide, direct, and educate students in membatik learning process.
