    Abstract

    Hevina, 2016. Flexural Capacity of Bamboo Petung Reinforcement Concrete Beam U-Type Vertical Not Parallel Notches 3 cm Width at 15 cm in Distance. Essay, Civil Engineering Deparment. Engineering Faculty of Sebelas Maret University The increasing number of people then also increase the need for building/home. One of the components that are often used in the manufacturing of building/house is steel reinforcement concrete beams. In remote areas the use of steel as reinforcement encounter obstacles such as the difficulty of access so needed alternative material as a replacement steel with material which is easily available in that area. One of alternative material to replacement steel as the reinforcement is bamboo. The purpose of this research is to know the flexural capacity of bamboo petung reinforcement concrete beam U-type vertical not parallel notches 3 cm width at 15 cm in distance. The method used in this research using laboratory experimental method with specimen form concrete beams with a length of 1700 mm, width 110 mm, and height of 150 mm. Inside the beam is planted bamboo petung reinforcement U-type vertical not parallel notches 3 cm width at 15 cm in distance with dimensions of length 1650 mm, width 20 mm, and thickness 5 mm as well as a comparison the flexural capacity of bamboo reinforcement concrete beam is also made concrete beams with similar dimensions which is planted steel reinforcement diameter of 8 mm. Based on the analysis of the test results is obtained the flexural capacity value of bamboo reinforcement concrete beam is 182.6160 kgm, while the flexural capacity value of steel reinforcement concrete beam is 592.4869 kgm or in other word the flexural capacity test result of bamboo petung reinforcement U-type vertical not parallel notches 3 cm width at 15 cm in distance is 30.8219 % of the steel reinforcement concrete beam flexural capacity.
