    Abstract

    IDENTIFICATION OF AGRICULTURE SUB SECTOR AND ROLE IN REDUCING INCOME INEQUALITY IN EX KEDU RESIDENCY (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TECHNIQUE APPROACH AND WILLIAMON INDEX) Dinan Azifah, Agustono, Nuning Setyowati Program Study Agribusiness. Faculty of Agriculture. Sebelas Maret University Surakarta ABSTRACT The objectives of this study are (1) to identify the Agricultural sub sector of base and non-base and (2) to determine the role of Agricultural sub sector in reducing income inequality in Ex Kedu Residency. The method used in this study is descriptive analysis. The data used is secondary data. The data analyzed using the Minimum Requirements Technique (MRT) and Williamson Index. The results of this study have shown that 2009-2013, agricultural sub sector become basis for food crops is in Kebumen, Magelang, Wonosobo, and Temanggung. Plantation sub sector become basis is in Kebumen, Purworejo, Magelang, dan Temanggung. Livestock sub sector become basis is in Kebumen, Wonosobo, Magelang, and Temanggung. Forestry sub sector become basis is in Kebumen, Purworejo, Magelang and Wonosobo. Fisheries sub sector become basis is in Kebumen, Purworejo, Magelang and Wonosobo. Agriculture sector non basis for food crops sub sectors is in Purworejo, plantation sub sector is in Wonosobo, livestock sub sector is in Purworejo, forestry sub sector is in Temanggung and fisheries sub sector is in Temanggung. The analysis using Williamson Index have shown that Agricultural sub sector in Kebumen, Magelang, Wonosobo, and Temanggung distict play a role in reducing income inequality. It is shown after the analysis is done, the income inequality increases after the GDP of agricultural sub-sector is excluded from the calculation.
