    Abstract

THE APPLICATION OF GUIDED INQUIRY MODEL ON PHYSICS LEARNING TO IMPROVE SCIENTIFIC ATTITUDE AND STUDENT’S ANALYSIS ABILITY AT CLASS X1 MIPA 2 OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL BATIK 2 SURAKARTA IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2015/2016. Thesis. Surakarta: Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Sebelas Maret University, July 2015. This research aims to improve scientific attitude and student’s analysis ability at class XI MIPA 2 of Senior High School Batik 2 Surakarta academic year 2015/2016 on Physics learning. This research used a Classroom Action Research with Kemmis and Mc. Taggart model that was held in three cycles. Each cycle was started with preparation stage and contiued implementation stage consisting of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The research subject was X1 MIPA 2 students of Senior High School Batik 2 Surakarta, which was consist of 35 students. The data was collected through test, observation, interview with students, and document review. The techniques of data analysis used descriptive qualitative analysis. Based on the study and data analysis of this research, it can be concluded that: (1) the application of Guided Inquiry model on physics learning can improve student’s scientific attitude in class XI MIPA 2 of Senior High School Batik 2 Surakarta in the academic year of 2015/2016. Moreover, It can be seen from observation cycle I to cycle III students’s scientific attitude improve and all indicators have reached the target of success in cycle III; (2) the application of Guided Inquiry model on physics learning can improve student’s analysis ability in class XI MIPA 2 of Senior High School Batik 2 Surakarta in the academic year of 2015/2016. Futhermore, the percentage of student’s analysis ability improved from 28,6% in cycle I to 60 % in cycle II, and 77,1 % in cycle III. The result of research shows that the guided inquiry model could be applied in learning activity if it is supported by school’s facilities to do learning needs more time and activeness from learners.
