    Abstract

    Development in the field of structure very rapidly, Reinforced concrete structure is one that is highly reliable structure strength of current and widely used in the construction off tall building, long-span bridge, tower and so on. The structure thus requiring high strength concrete with compressive strength greater than 6,000 psi or 41,4 MPa being used to prop up the components of the structure. Thus the need improve the quality of concrete with steps to add fiber to the fresh concrete, the chosen material added bendrat fiber derived from waste material or recycling project that are not useful, to be reused as an added ingredient wich aims to improve the compressive strength of concrete. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of fiber bendrat with added ingredients bestmittel on the mechanical properties of concrete such as compressive strength and shear strength. The method used is experiment method that held in UNS material laboratory. Cylindrical test specimen used diameter 15 cm height 30 cm for compressive strength testing, and 8 cm x 12 cm x 100 cm specimen for shear strength testing. Each objects test consists of 3 object for a variation of fibers bendrat addition levels. Percentage fibers bendrat which used are 0 %; 0.5 %; 1 %; 1.5 %; and 2 %.Compressive strength test using a CTM(Compression Testing Machine) and the shear strength test using a BTM (Bending Testing Machine).Calculation is using Microsoft Excel program. From the results of obtained increasing in value of Compressive Strength, according to polynomial chart can be concluded that, there is an increase of Compressive Strength concrete with fiber bendrat addition, to reach optimum at the bendrat level 1,067% in the amount 58,53 MPa, According to the results of the regression analysis results obtained calculation : Maximum shear strength value based testing is at levels 1,21% (BL-1%) in the amount 21,88 kN. Maximum shear strength value analysis based on levels SNI 1,07% (BL-1%) in the amount 9,67 kN.
