    Abstract

    This research aimed: (1) to find out the quality of employee loan quality distributed by PD. BPR Bank Klaten to partner institution; and (2) to find out the factors affecting employee loan quality distributed by PD. BPR Bank Klaten to partner institution. The writer employed a descriptive qualitative analysis technique to answer clearly the topic (question) discussed. In this research, the writer conducted direct observation on PD. BPR Bank Klaten addressed in Veteran Street No.140 Klaten. The data collection was carried out during apprenticeship activity. The data was obtained by interviewing supervisor, account officer and salary treasurer of partner institution. In addition to data obtained from PD. BPR Bank Klaten and partner institution, the writer also looked for reference in the library of Economic and Business Faculty, Surakarta Sebelas Maret University. The result of research showed as follows. (1) The quality of employee loan distributed by PD. BPR Bank Klatento partner institution for four last years (2012-2015) viewed from non-performing loan level was fluctuating but still consistent with the Bank of Indonesia’s provision No.15/2/PBI/2013 about a Bank ‘s safe margin of NPL, 5%. (2) The factors affecting the quality of employee loan distributed by PD. BPR Bank Klatento partner institution derived from external factors: partner institution and employees. By its collectability, it was categorized as follows: Well-performing, because payroll system derived from state budget, institution’s business prospect and competitiveness were good, employee performance was good, and salary treasurer as filter functioned well; Less performing, institution’s low ability of determining competing strategy, business contract cancelation by consumer leading to company’s loss, increasing life cost of employees, and position decrease; Doubted, low understanding on loan agreement, increasing basic material price, bad character of employees and salary treasurer, and employee mutation; and Non-Performing, bad management and company’s decreased profit, technology shift from manual to machine labor, loan application with fictitious data by institution treasurer and director, and termination for the employees with poor performance.
