    Abstract

PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM SOLVING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENYELESAIKAN SOAL CERITATENTANG PECAHAN PADA SISWA KELAS V SDN 1 KRAKAL TAHUN AJARAN 2015/2016. Skripsi : Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta, Mei 2016. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mendeskripsikan penerapan angkah-langkah problem solving untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita tentang pecahan pada siswa kelas V SDN 1 Krakal tahun ajaran 2015/2016; 2) meningkatkan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita tentang pecahan pada siswa kelas V SDN 1 Krakal tahun ajaran 2015/2016 dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran problem solving; 3) mendeskripsikan kendala dan solusi dalam penerapan problem solving untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita tentang pecahan pada siswa kelas V SDN 1 Krakal tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) kolaboratif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN 1 Krakal yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa. Validitas menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Analisis data penelitian ini meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut: 1) langkah-langkah pembelajaran problem solving terdiri dari persiapan, identifikasi masalah, membuat rencana, melaksanakan rencana, melihat kembali dan membuat simpulan; 2) model pembelajaran problem solving dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita tentang pecahan siswa kelas V SDN 1 Krakal, terbukti dengan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa siklus I 63,655 (42,19%); siklus II 76,325 (81,25%); siklus III 86,92 (89,06%); 3) kendala penelitian ini adalah: (a) siswa yang kurang mampu tetapi bersikap pasif; (b) membuat siswa memahami dan memecahkan masalah sendiri; (c) manajemen waktu pembelajaran sulit. Solusi dari kendala tersebut (a) menginstruksikan siswa yang pasif untuk mengerjakan dibantu oleh kelompok; (b) pendekatan individu dari guru pada siswa yang kurang; (c) pembelajaran dilaksanakan pagi hari Simpulan penelitian ini adalah penerapan model pembelajaran problem solving dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita tentang pecahan pada siswa kelas V SDN 1 Krakal tahun ajaran 2015/2016. THE APPLICATION OF PROBLEM SOLVING LEARNING MODEL IN IMPROVING SOLVING PROBLEM ABILITY ABOUT FRACTION FOR THE FIFTH GRADE STUDENTS OF SD NEGERI 1 KRAKAL IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR OF 2015/2016. Thesis, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Sebelas Maret University of Surakarta.May 2016. The objectives of this research are: (1) to describe the steps on the application of Problem Solving learning model in improving solving problem ability about fraction problem for the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Krakalin the academic year of 2015/2016, (2) to improve solving problem ability about fraction for the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Krakalin the academic year of 2015/2016, and (3) to describe problems and solutionson the application of Problem Solving learning model in improving solving problem ability about fraction problem for the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Krakalin the academic year of 2015/2016. This research is a collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted within three cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Subjects of the research were 32 students of the fifth grade of SD Negeri 1 Karakal. Sources of data were derived from students and teacher. Techniques of collecting data were learning outcomes test, observation, interview, and documentation. Validity of data in this research was analyzed using triangulation of sources and triangulation of technique. Data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptiveanalysis consisting of data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusion or verification. The results of this research show that: (1) the steps of problem solving learning method consists of: preparation, problem identification, planning, conduct the planning, review and drawing conclusion; (2) the Problem Solving learning model can can improve solving problem ability about fraction for the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Krakal. It was proven by the increase of average score and percentage of learning outcomes 63.655 and 42.19% in the first cycle, 76.325 and 81.25%in the second cycle, and 86.92 and 89.06% in the third cycle;and (3) the problems encountered in the learning, namely: (a) low-score students are passive, (b) there is difficulty in making students understand and solving problems by themselves, and (c) there is difficulty in time management. Solutions for these problems are: (a) have low-score students to do the assignments in groups, (b) improve individual approach for students, and (c) conduct the learning in the morning. The conclusion of this research is the application of Problem Solving learning model can improve solving problem ability about fraction for the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Krakalin the academic year of 2015/2016.
