    Abstract

    ABSTRACT Istikhomah Nurhayati. THE USE OF MODIFICATIONS IN LEARNING TO IMPROVE LEARNING OUTCOMES BASIC MOTION MINI VOLLEYBALL IN GRADE IV SDN TEGALREJO NO. 98 2015/2016 ACADEMIC YEAR SURAKARTA. Research paper. Surakarta : Faculty of Taecher Training and Education Sebelas Maret University of Surakarta, Mei 2016 The purpose of this research is to improve learning outcomes basic motion mini volleyball uses modified utilization in teaching grade 4th student of SDN Tegalrejo no. 98 Surakarta Academic Year. This research is a classroom action research (CAR). This study was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects were students of class IV SDN Tegalrejo No. 98 Surakarta amounting 29 Students. Source of data derived from the teachers, students and researchers. The data collection techniques are observation, testing, and documentation or files. The validity of data using triangulation technique data.Analysis of data using descriptive technique that is based on a qualitative analysis as a percentage. The results of this study showed that getting significant improvement from pre-cycle to I cycle, then from I cycle to II cycle. This is showed from the result of student learning in pre-cycle from 29 students only 6 student passed and 23 students didn’t or counted in precentage 20,65% for passing student while 79,35% for failing student. Then, the result of learning in I cycle showed the significant improvement that there were 17 students or 58,69% belongs to pass and the rest was 12 students or 41,31% belongs to fail. In 2 cycle, the improvement that there were 86,27% or 25 students belong to pass and the rest was 13,73 % or 4 students belong to fail.. The conclusions of this research is to use of modification in learning can improve learning outcomes basic motion mini volleyball in grade IV SDN Tegalrejo No. 98 Surakarta Academic Year 2015/2016.
