    Abstract

    RINGKASAN Rosela dikenal sebagai tanaman obat yang berkhasiat menyembuhkan berbagai macam penyakit. Hasil tanaman ini masih rendah sehingga diperlukan usaha peningkatan hasil dengan cara pemupukan yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan dosis pupuk nitrogen, konsentrasi pupuk organik cair, atau kombinasi yang tepat agar diperoleh hasil dan kadar vitamin C kelopak bunga yang tertinggi pada tanaman rosela. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan november 2008 sampai Mei 2009, di Pusat Penelitian Lahan Kering Jumantono, Karanganyar dengan jenis tanah latosol pada ketinggian 180 mdpl. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok lengkap yang disusun secara faktorial dengan dua faktor perlakuan, meliputi: dosis pupuk N 0, 46, 92, dan 136 kg/ha dan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair 0, 2, 4dan 6 ml/l air. Data kemudian dianalisis dengan uji F 5% dan jika terdapat beda nyata dilanjutkan Uji DMRT. Dosis pupuk N 92 kg/ha hanya memberikan hasil tertinggi pada variabel berat brangkasan segar dan rasio akar tajuk. Konsentrasi pupuk organik cair 2, 4, dan 6 ml/l air belum mampu meningkatkan hasil dan kadar vitamin C kelopak bunga rosela. Belum ada kombinasi yang tepat antara pupuk N dan pupuk organik cair untuk meningkatkan hasil dan kadar vitamin C kelopak bunga rosela. SUMMARY Rosella known as a medicinal plants and its virtue is healing some kinds of illness. The yield of this plant is still inadequate and needed an effort of increasing yield through exact fertilizing. The objective of this research were to obtain single exact nitrogen fertilizer dose, liquid manure concentration, or in combination and the highest content of vitamin C in flower sheath of rosella. The research was conducted on November 2008 until May 2009, in Rigid Jumantono Research Center, Karanganyar with kind of soil Latosol at 180 meters above sea level. Design used in this research was Complete Block Randomize Design in factorial with two factors of treatment, consist of: dose of N 0, 46, 92, and 138 kg/ha and concentration of liquid manure 0, 2, 4, and 6 ml/l water. Obtained data analyzed with F test at 5% and would be continued with DMRT for significant different. Nitrogen dose of 92 kg/ha serves the highest only on the variable of fresh weight and root-shoot ratio. Liquid manure concentration of 2, 4, and 6 ml/l water does not increase the yield and vitamin C content on the flower sheath of rosella. There is no exact combination yet between N fertilizer and liquid manure to increase the yield and vitamin C content on the flower sheath of rosella.
