(Experiment Study Of Application Infrared Distance 30 Cm, 35 cm, 40 cm and 45 cm In Adults Early (18 Tahun - 39 Years) And Midle Adult (40 years-60 years)). Post Graduate Program Sebelas Maret University Background: Everyone at some point in their lives must have experienced pain, either from mild to severe. The use of pain treatment modality in society have been conducted by various methods, one of which is by using infrared. Methods: This research is an experimental research subject is student achievement badminton coaching University Tunas Pembangunan badminton Surakarta (early adult groups) and members of the Branch Chairman of Muhammadiyah Tanon Sragen (middle adult group). Analysis of the data in the study using Anava test. Results: The study concluded There are differences in the effectiveness of the application of infrared distance of 30 cm, 35 cm, 40 cm and 45 cm to increase the pain threshold (p-value 0.000), There is a difference in the increase in the pain threshold on the application of infrared proximity to the early adulthood (18 years -39 years ) and middle adulthood (40 years -60 years) (p-value = 0.002), There is an interaction with infrared remote application effectiveness of early adulthood (18 years - 39 years) and middle adulthood (40 years -60 years) to increase the pain threshold (p- value = 0.037). Conclusion : Applications of infrared distance 35 cm and 40 cm in early adulthood(18 years - 39 years ) more effectively increase the pain threshold than the distance of 30 cm , while the application of infrared distance of 30 cm at the age of middle age(40 years -60 years) more effectively increase the pain threshold than the distance of 35 cm and 40 cm Keywords: pain threshold, infrared, and age.
