Abstract

Observation of indirect Tensile Strength, Unconfined Compressive Strength, and Permeability of Jabung Daspal as Binder in Road Pavement, Taufik Rohman, (2015), Dapertement of Civil Engineering Faculty of Engineering Sebelas Maret University. Gum resin comes from the damar resin and is natural resources that can be renewed.Craftsman silver in kotagede yogyakarata has long been using gum resin as bearing to carve ring siiver and we call it jabung.Composition Jabung itself it consists from the gum resin, cooking oil, and the brick There are some common ground between daspal with asphalt including visually resembling asphalt, is elastic, and adhesive. But daspal a strength than the asphalt impervious to water. The purpose of this research to know the value of indirect tensile strength (ITS), unconfined compressive strength (UCS), permeability daspal, and compare it to the value of asphalt penetration 60 / 70 and asbuton. This research uses experimental methods in the integrated service with four daspal variation, A, B, C, and D full varied comparison with heavy gum resin, the brick, and cooking oil is: 300 gr, 300 gr, and 145 gr (A); 400 gr, 200 gr, and 150 gr (B); 450 gr, 150 gr, and 170 gr (C); 600 gr, 0 gr, and 225 gr (D). Then will be testing indirect tensile strength (ITS), unconfined compressive strength (UCS), and permeability. The analysis of testing were later compared with asphalt pertamina penetration grade 60 / 70 and asbuton. From the result indirect tensile strength (ITS), unconfined compressive strength (UCS), and permeability who have been done on a mixture of daspal in the steady value daspal get the indirect tensile ,strength 396,223 kPa, unconfined compressive strength 10030,58 kPa, and permeability 0,00065.The indirect tensile strength daspal smaller than asbuton, and penetration pertamina 60 / 70, unconfined compressive strength daspal higher than asbuton and asphalt penetration pertamina 60 f 70, permeability daspal smaller value than asbuton, and larger than 60 asphalt penetration pertamina 60 / 70.
