    Abstract

    The objectives of the research are to improve the history study result and attitude toward heroism values to the XII IPS-1 Students of SMAIT Nur Hidayah Surakarta through implementing role plays method to Indonesia independence proclamation subject. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). It was conducted in two cycles that each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Subject of the research are students, teacher and teaching and learning process in XII IPS-1 students of SMAIT Nur Hidayah Surakarta. Data and resource of the data were from students, teacher and teaching and learning process. The techniques of collecting data were interview, observation, questionnaire and test. Data validity test used triangulation technique. Analyzing the data used comparative descriptive technique. The result of the research shows that are: (1) implementing role plays method to Indonesia independence proclamation subject is improving the history study result to the XII IPS-1 Students of SMAIT Nur Hidayah. In cycle i the number of students at kkm as many as 22 the student with prosentase 73,33 % , while the number of students which did not reach kkm as much as 8 the student with prosentase of 26,67 %. Cycle ii on the number of students who reached kkm as many as 27 students with prosentase 90 percent , while the number of students that does not achieve kkm as many as three students with prosentase amounting to 10 percent. The increasing of mean score in the final of cycle 2 is compatible with the research indicator that is 75%, (2) the implementing role plays method to Indonesia independence proclamation subject to the XII IPS-1 Students of SMAIT Nur Hidayah is improving the attitude toward the heroism values. In cycle i value indicators an attitude toward values kepahalwanan consisting of nationalism , soul leader sacrificing , socially responsible , responsibility as many as 2382 with prosentase 79,39 % .In cycle ii as many as 2476 with prosentase 82,53 % . The conclusion of the research is the role plays method can be the appropriate medium to improving the history study result and attitude toward heroism values to XII IPS-1 students of SMAIT Nur Hidayah Surakarta.
