    Abstract

    This study aimed to examine the effect of the impact of learning orientation on product innovation performance. Learning orientation consists of a commitment to learning, shared vision and open-mindedness. Performance product innovation consists of product innovation efficiency and product innovation efficacy. The sample in this study is SMEs in the district of Sukoharjo. The data collection was done by giving a set of questions or a written statement to the respondent to answer (questionnaire), a scale used is a Likert scale with 5 pilihah range of options that are used as an instrument of measurement questionnaire. The data have been collected and then tested the consistency and precision of the measuring instrument through validity and reliability test. Test equipment used in this study were multiple linear regression. From the analysis it was found that the commitment to learning has a positive and significant impact on the Product Innovation Efficiency, commitment to learning has a positive and significant impact on the Product Innovation Efficacy, shared vision choose a positive and significant impact on the Product Innovation Efficiency, hared vision to have no significant effect Efficacy of the Product Innovation, open mindednes not have a significant influence on Product Innovation Efficiency, open mindednes not have a significant effect on the Efficacy of Product Innovation. From these results it is proposed the following suggestions. 1) SMEs in the District. Sukoharjo expected to be able to analyze deeper factors such as the old company was established, large-size industry, and also the background of employees, such as education, ethnicity, customs and culture so that the orientation of learning can be applied in these differences. 2) The manager must be able to collect the thoughts of some of the employees and also be able to sort the results of such consideration, and may provide facilities or good guidance so that employees feel valued and can also improve product innovation.
