    Abstract

    The purpose of this research is to understand the self-image, shape public assessment of the singers, as well as the impact assessment in an attempt to exit from poverty for rural singers Kalisari as a musician. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data were collected by interview and search of documents related to research problems. Informants in this study were traditional leaders and village government. Singers are as key informants. Sampling was done by using homogeneous. Data collected by observation technique does not participate and are not structured in-depth interviews. To analyze data using interactive data analysis. The validity of the data was done by using triangulation of sources. From the results of this research is motivated to be a crush of singers consisted of economic, environmental influences or internal conflict impingement family and juvenile delinquency. The division of labor Kalisari singers recognize two patterns of division of labor which individually and in groups. Kalisari singers have so-called structural poverty in which singers Kalisari not have the means to engage in the political process that causes them to be in the lowest social strata in rural areas. Looking glass self-concept described C. H. Cooley contains three essential elements of imagination our appearance to others, imagination of an assessment of her appearance, and the kind of feeling herself. In other words someone needs assessment of people against what they show. Individual singers are assessing and imaging appearance of his own like this community to see the behavior of singers. Discussion of research found that there are two patterns of singing is confident and shy. Imagination singers Kalisari of community assessment consisted of imagination tolerance and isolation. The impact of this imagination has no effect on employment, behavior and mindset so that singers Kalisari singers remain in the circle of poverty. Bad image given to the singers will not solve the problems faced by street singers. Improving the quality of individuals that is more focused on improving the quality of human resources, especially singers allows individual singers are able to competitiveness.
