Abstract
High rainfall and building urban areas in indonesia lead to be a potential rain water to generate electrical energy. A horizontal axis water turbine (HWAT) was applied in the building pipeline to produce energy. Depth to width ratio research using simulation CFX to determine the optimum perfomance turbin. Study simulation Depth to width ratio give was 0.06, 0.10, 0.14, 0.18, 0.22, 0.24, 0.27, and 0.29. Performance optimal turbine can be seen from data countur pressure, velocity and torque. The most optimal turbin on variation depth to width ratio of 0.29 with the pressure value 4.230x105 pa, velocity 2.821x10 m/s, and torque 2.70395 Nm.
