    Abstract

    This study aims to determine whether the hard skills, soft skills and training have an effect on the performance of employees of PT. Hilon Surakarta. And analyze the effect of soft skills and hard skills training on employee performance as a mediating variable. The variable in this study is the soft skills, hard skills, training, and employee performance. The population in this study were all employees at PT. Hilon Surakartakhususnya production PET Fiber and production parts. Samples were taken 75 people. The technique of collecting data using questionnaires. The analysis used is multiple regression analysis models Baron and Kenny (1986). Based on the results of the study concluded that: (1) There is a soft skill influence on employee performance; (2) There is a hard skill influence on employee performance; and (3) influences of soft skills and hard skills training on employee performance as a mediating variable. (4) This study resulted in the finding that soft skills and hard skills that impact directly on the performance of employees and indirect effect on the performance of employees through training.
