    Abstract

    Aan Ismanto,"THE APPLICATION OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL OF THE TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMENT (TGT) TYPE TO IMPROVE THE ACTIVENESS AND THE LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT IN ADMINISTRATION PROSEDURE LESSON SUBJECT MATTER OF THE STUDENT IN CLASS XE OF OFFICE ADMINISTRATION PROGRAM OF STATE VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL 1 OF PEDAN IN ACADEMIC YEAR 2014/2015” Skripsi. Surakarta: The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Sebelas Maret University. Surakarta. November 2015. The objective of research was to find out whether or not the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type of cooperative learning model application can improve activeness and learning achievement in Conducting Administrative Procedure subject of state vocational high school 1 of Pedan. This study was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, acting, observing and reflecting. This action research was conducted by applying the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type of cooperative learning model in the subject of conducting administrative procedure in High School 1 of Pedan in academic year 2014/2015. The research conducted in collaboration with the teacher by involving the students’ participation. The subject of research was the XE Office Administration Grader consisting of 36 students. Techniques of collecting data used in this research were: observation, interview, test and documentation. The indicator of success in this research was when the student activeness reached at least 60% and student learning achievement at least 85% with the minimum passing criteria (KKM) score of 78. From the result of research, it could be found that activeness and learning achievement of students improved. Before applying the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type of cooperative learning model, the activeness of students was 40.16% and the learning achievement had not been maximal, 69.44% successfully reaching the minimum passing criteria (KKM). In cycle I, the activeness increased from 40.16% to 67.93% and learning achievement from 69.44% to 80.56%. In cycle II, the student learning activeness increased from 67.93 to 85.41% and the learning achievement from 85.41% to 91.67%. Thus, it could be concluded that the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type of cooperative learning model application could improve activeness and learning achievement of Conducting Administrative Procedure subject.
