    Abstract

    This study aims to determine: (1) The difference in learning outcomes between students who are taught through with scientific approach based on environment againts students who are learn with guided inquiry approach based on environment; (2) The difference of learning outcomes between learning outcomes among students who are highly motivated againts learning outcomes among students who are low motivated; (3) The effect of the interaction between learning approach and level of motivation toward student learning outcomes; (4) The difference of student learning outcomes between the approach and between the motivation. This study using a quasy experimental by dividing sample into experimental groups and the control group. The study design using a 2 × 2 factorial experimental techniques used in data collection was learning outcomes Test of science subject on plant adaptation sub material and questionnaire of motivation. Data were analyzed using two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results showing that the effect of learning approaches, the value of the test statistic is Fcount > Ftable = 10.096 > 4, accordingly Ho1 rejected. This means that there are very significant differences between the effects of the application of the learning with scientific learning approach based on environment and the learning with guided inquiry learning approach based on environmental about the student learning outcomes on fifth grade of elementary school. 2) Fcount > Ftable = 15.262 > 4.01 accordingly Ho1 rejected. This means there is a very significant difference in effect between students who have low learning motivation, against high learning motivation about student learning outcomes on fifth grade of elementary school. 3) In the interaction effects of learning approaches and students science learn motivation, test statistics value are Fcount > Ftable = 8.207 > 4,01, accordingly Ho3 rejected. That Means there is a significant interaction between the uses of learning approaches with students motivation about learning outcomes on fifth grade of elementary school. 4) The learning with scientific approach based on environment on highly motivated students have a better learning outcomes than low motivated students, as well as better than students taught through guided inquiry learning approach to highly motivated students and low motivated students.
