    Abstract

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) Pemberian neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) dan latihan agility drill dapat meningkatan kelincahan (agility) pemain bolabasket. (2) Perbedaan kelincahan (agility) pada posisi pemain small man dan big man bolabasket. (3) Pengaruh interaksi antara pemberian pemberian neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) dan latihan agility drill dengan posisi pemain dapat meningkatkan kelincahan (agility). Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan rancangan faktorial 2 X 2. Populasi penelitian adalah pemain bolabasket putra kelompok umur 16 tahun (KU-16) sritex dragon solo tahun 2015. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive random sampling, besar sampel yang diambil yaitu sebanyak 40 orang. Sampel terdiri dari 10 orang dengan posisi pemain small man yang diberikan latihan agility drill, 10 orang dengan posisi pemain small man yang diberikan latihan agility drill dan neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES), 10 orang dengan posisi pemain big man yang diberikan latihan agility drill dan 10 orang dengan posisi pemain big man yang diberikan latihan agility drill dan neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES). Teknik pengumpulan data dengan tes kelincahan (Illinois agility run test). Pengambilan data dilakukan tes awal sebelum perlakuan (pre test) dan tes akhir sesudah perlakuan (post test). Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis varians dan uji rentang Newman Keuls, pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa latihan agility drill memiliki peningkatan yang berbeda dengan latihan agility drill dan neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES), dibuktikan dari nilai Fhitung = 83,421 > Ftabel = 4,11, yang berarti hipotesa nol (Ho) ditolak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemain bolabasket yang berposisi small man memiliki peningkatan kelincahan yang berbeda dengan pemain bolabasket yang berposisi big man, dibuktikan dari nilai Fhitung = 6.399 > Ftabel = 4,11, yang berarti hipotesa nol (Ho) ditolak. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa interaksi antara pemberian neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) dan latihan agility drill dengan posisi pemain small man dan big man sangat bermakna dibuktikan dari nilai Fhitung = 23.881 > Ftabel = 4,11, yang berarti hipotesa nol (Ho) ditolak. Kesimpulan: (1) Ada perbedaan pengaruh yang signifikan antara latihan agility drill dengan latihan agility drill dan neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) terhadap kelincahan (agility) pemain bolabasket. Pemberian latihan agility drill dan neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) lebih baik dari pada latihan agility drill (2) Ada perbedaan kelincahan (agility) yang signifikan antara pemain bolabasket yang berposisi small man dengan pemain bolabasket yang berposisi big man. Pemain bolabasket yang berposisi small man memiliki peningkatan kelincahan yang lebih baik dari pada pemain bolabasket yang berposisi big man. (3) Terdapat interaksi yang signifikan antara pemberian neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) dan latihan agility drill dengan posisi pemain terhadap kelincahan (agility) pada pemain bolabasket. ABSTRACT The objective of research was to find out: (1) whether or not the neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) administration and agility drill can improve the basketball player’s agility, (2) the difference of agility between the players in small man and big man basketball position, and (3) the effect of interaction between neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) administration and agility drill with player position on the improved agility. This study employed a 2 x 2 factorial design. The population of research was 16-age male basketball players (KU-16) of sritex dragon solo in 2015. The sampling technique used was purposive random sampling, with the sample size of 40 persons. The sample consisted of 10 persons with small man player position given agility drill, 10 persons with small man player position given agility drill and neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES), 10 persons with big man player position given agility drill and neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES). Technique of collecting data with Illinois agility run test. Data collection underwent pretest and posttest. Techniques of analyzing data used were variance analysis and Newman Keuls range test, at significance level of 5%. The result of research showed that agility drill had different improvement with agility drill and neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES), indicated with Fstatistic = 83.421 > Ftable = 4.11, meaning that null hypothesis (Ho) was not supported. The result of research showed that the basketball players with small man position had different agility improvement from those with big man position, indicated with Fstatistic = 6.399 > Ftable = 4.11, meaning that null hypothesis (Ho) was not supported. The result of research also showed that the interaction between neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) administration and agility drill with small man and big man position was very significant, indicated with Fstatistic = 23.881> Ftable = 4.11, meaning that null hypothesis (Ho) was not supported. Conclusions: (1) There was a significantly different effect of agility drill and agility drill and neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) on the agility of basketball players. The administration of agility drill and neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) was better than agility drill alone. (2) There was a significant difference of agility between basketball players with small man position and those with big man position, in which the basketball players with small man position had better agility improvement than those with big man. (3) There was a significant interaction between neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) and agility drill with player position on the agility of basketball players. (a) Neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) administration and agility drill were appropriate to small man position. (b) Agility drill administration was appropriate to big man position.
