    Abstract

    The Relationship Of The Baby Spa And Companion Feeding Breast Milk With Infant Weight Gain Susana Setyowati 1), A.A Subiyanto2), Budiyanti Wiboworini3) 1) Program Studi Magister Ilmu Kesehatan Masyarakat 2) Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta 2) Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta ABSTRACT Background: Taking care of babies is not only conducted regular treatment everyday, but additional care could do to supports the process of growth and development. One that can be done is the grant baby therapy spa and complementary feeding of breast milk. This research aims to know the relationship of baby feeding and complementary spa breast milk with infant weight gain. Subjects and Methods: This type of research was Quasi Experimental design with a quantitative approach pretest and posttest design. This research was conducted in the city of Malang, East Java. The sample used was a baby aged 6 up to 12 months as many as 60 infants with purposive sampling. Engineering data collection done by observation and questionnaire. Analysis of test data using the t-test to look for differences between group. Result: The result of this research show that the volue of the average infant weight gain at group therapy treat baby spa and complementary feeding of brast milk 287 grams, whereas in the control group was given only food breast milk alone there are 187 grams assembled value p > 0,05. And from the t-test analysis results obtained as a result of the difference or the difference in weight gain between groups of 100 grams. Conclusion: There is no significant relationship between the granting of spa and baby feeding escort breast milk with infant weigth gain 6 – 12 months.
