    Abstract

    SITI ZUHRIYATI ROSYITA, D0105022,AN EVALUATION ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ILLITERACY ELIMINATION PROGRAM OF THE REGION TECHNICAL ORGANIZER UNIT OF THE OFFICIAL OF EDUCATION IN SUKOHARJO SUBDISTRICT, SUKOHARJO (A CASE STUDY IN BULAKREJO 2007/2008), ADMINISTRATION STUDY DEPARTMENT, SOCIAL AND POLITICS FACULTY, SEBELAS MARET UNIVERSITY, 2009. Education has been an important thing for human being, that it could make them get improved. By paying attention to education in Indonesia today, we know that it is still required an improvement through educational esthablishment program. There are still number of illiteracy in society. For that reason the Region Technical Organizer Unit of the official of education in Sukoharjo are attempting to commit the Illiteracy Elimination Program in the entire of Sukoharjo district. It is due to obstacles in implementing a program so that evaluation requires to be committed. The reason is the evaluation of a program will show where and how the program should be improved. The purpose of the research is evaluate the implementation of the Illiteracy Elimination Program of the Region Technical Organizer Unit of the Official of Education in Sukoharjo subdistrict by using the CIPP (Contex, Input, Process, and Product) evaluation model. The type of the study is qualitative descriptive. The data is collected through interview, observation and documentation. The study uses the qualitative descriptive method with interactive data analysis technique that is the process of the data analysis through four stages; collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and constructing conclusion. The triangular data technique is used to testing the data validity. Based on the research, it can be concluded that what is expected by the government through the implementation of the Illiteracy Elimination Program is reached. The indicators can be seen socially and economically. Socially, the society has been able to read, write, and count. Economically, the society is able to run private enterprise autonomously by applying the functional skills given in the learning process of the Illiteracy Elimination Program of the the Region Technical Organizer Unit of the Official of Education in Sukoharjo subdistrict
