    Nisa Uswati Nurdin. THE IMPLEMENTATION OF TEAM ASSISTED INDIVIDUALIZATION FOR IMPROVING ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT IN ACCOUNTING OF THE STUDENT IN CLASS XI IPS 1 OF SMA N I NOGOSARI KABUPATEN BOYOLALI. Thesis, Surakarta: Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Eleven March Surakarta University, March 2011. The purpose of this study is for knowing what cooperative learning Team Assisted Individualization can improving academic achievement in accounting of the student in class XI IPS I of SMA N I Nogosari Kabupaten Boyolali. This research is a class action (classroom action research) using the cycle strategy. The subject of this research is a class XI student IS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Nogosari Kabupaten Boyolali which totaled 32 students. The object of this action research study on the various activities that occur in the classroom during the learning process. This research was carried out with collaboration between researchers, classroom teachers and involve student participation. Technique of data collecting is done by testing, observation, documentation, and interviews. The procedure includes the stages of research: (1) identification of issues, (2) preparation, (3) preparation of action plans, (4) implementation of the action, (5) observations, and (6) preparation of reports. The research process was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages: (1) planning action, (2) implementation of the action, (3) observation and interpretation, and (4) analysis and reflection. Each cycle carried out in 2 meetings, allocation of time of each meeting 4 x 45 minutes. The result from this research showed that implementation cooperative learning tipe Team Assisted Individualization can improving achievement of accounting. There is reflected from some indicators, there are: (1) Activity student along learning process can improving which in cycles I 53,75% and cycles II 75,62%. (2) the student achievement improving too. Cycles I 65,62% and cycles II 84,38%.
