    Abstract

    This research will describe: (1) the form of code switching and code mixing, (2) the factor that causing of code switching and code mixing, and (3) the effect of code switching and code mixing that occur in the process of Indonesian learning class in The Country Vocational High School of Banyumas. Data and data sources in this research is a written data about speech that appear in a process of Indonesian language learning. Data collection is using listen and speak methods. Validity data technique is use triangulation of data source and informant review. Data analysis using intralingual method. The results of this study there is found the use of code switching and code mixing in Indonesian learning class in The Country Vocational High School of Banyumas. The form of code switching that is the internal code which is from the Indonesian language to the Java Banyumasan language language and from the Java Banyumasan language to the Indonesian language. The form of code mixing that found are namely: (1) word insertion, (2) phrase insertion, (3) clause insertion, ( 4) the word repetition, and (5) idiom. The factors that are causing of code switching are: (1) speakers, (2) speaking partners, (3) the presence of third speakers, (4) topics of conversation, (5) for a joke, (6) the purpose and function of speaking, and (7) group identity. The factor that causing of code mixing are: (1) changing situation, (2) want to explain something, and (3) establishing intimacy between teacher and student. The positive impact of the use of code switching and code mixing in Indonesian learning in The Country Vocational High School of Banyumas is the Indonesian language learning into more active, effective and communicative. The negative impact of the use of code switching and code mixing in Indonesian learning in The Country Vocational High School of Banyumas is the mastery of Indonesian language vocabulary less developed students because students do not practice in improving good and correct skills.
