    Abstract

    ANALISIS WACANA TEKSTUAL DAN KONTEKSTUAL KUMPULAN CERPEN SAMPAH BULAN DESEMBER KARYA HAMSAD RANGKUTI SERTA RELEVANSINYA SEBAGAI BAHAN AJAR DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH PERTAMA Satriya Adi Andriyani, Muhammad Rohmadi, Ani Rakhmawati Universitas Sebelas Maret E-mail: Satriya_wedok37@yahoo.com Abstract: This research aims to describe and explain (1) textual analysis of short story compilation entitled Sampah Bulan Desember written by Hamsad Rangkuti, (2) contextual analysis of short story compilation entitled Sampah Bulan Desember written by Hamsad Rangkuti, (3) the relevance of the short story text as a teaching material for junior high school students. This study was a qualitative descriptive research. There are two data sources in this research, the forth document of short story in the compilation of Sampah Bulan Desember as the primary resource, and the informant (teacher and students) as the secondary resource. Technique used in collecting data was documentation, and interview. The data validity was tested using data of triangulation. The data was analyzed using interactive analyses which consist of collecting data, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The procedures were preparations, collecting data, data analysis and the last stage. The result of this study can be concluded (1) the textual analysis of the short story used the grammatical aspect of reference up to 1376 data (82%), the substitution is 49 data (3%), the ellipsis is 21 data (1%), and the conjunction is 240 data (14%); then the lexical aspect of repetition is 60 data (25%), the synonym is 74 data (30%), the antonym is 27 data (11%), the collocation is 33 data (14%), the hyponym is 1 data (1%), and equivalence is 47 data (19%); (2) contextual analysis of the short story compilation shows there are four principles that can be used to comprehend, that is (a) the personal interpretation principle, (b) the locational interpretation principle, (c) the temporal interpretation principle, and (d) the analogy principle; (3) four inspected stories consists of three categories: short story that is suitable as a teaching materials, less suitable, and not suitable; (4) the short story of Sampah Bulan Desember written by Hamsad Rangkuti to be a potential teaching and learning substance in Junior High School, in the curriculum of 2013. It is seen from the conformity of the short story and the theory of teaching materials, the theory of literary works, and supported by the informants opinion that are teachers and students.
